Tina Oelker
Artist, friend and inspiration - Tina Oelker is a German artist, visionary and a woman with a strong personality.
Her life and works are characterized by a remarkable journey. She discovered her passion for modern painting at a young age. She spent a formative period in Portofino with an Italian avant-gardist before moving to New York and finally settling in Hamburg in 1995.
Tinas studio, a charming apartment in an old building, is a true work of art in its own right. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a warm, sunny yellow in the hallway - a harbinger of the creative diversity that awaits you. Each room radiates its own atmosphere, characterized by colors and moods that reflect Oelker's artistic spirit.
Her works speak for themselves - directly, emotionally and without explanation. For Tina, art is an ongoing process, sometimes quiet and subtle, sometimes intense and full of energy. Her project “1000 Rabbits”, which she began in 2007, is particularly iconic: a series of 1000 numbered portraits that capture the wildness, power and dynamism of the rabbit in bold colors and vivid brushstrokes. Each picture bears Oelker's unmistakable signature and breathes its very own soul into the hares.
